HEATHER SWAN: Overcoming Fear
Heather Swan was a marketing executive with no previous experience in anything remotely adventurous when she volunteered to test Dr. Glenn Singleman’s theory that ‘anyone could jump off the highest cliff in the world’. Her problems began immediately when she found she was terrified of skydiving. Heather found the courage to continue and endured setbacks, tragedy, humiliation and pain to ultimately triumph in the male dominated world of rock climbing, mountaineering, skydiving and BASEjumping. How she overcame her fears, and developed the physical skill and fitness to become a dual world record holding BASEjumper and accomplished mountaineer whilst successfully juggling her family and career is an inspiration and the basis of a wonderfully entertaining and awe-inspiring presentation.
